TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 3: Patrick Duffy gives approximate filming date

DallasIt’s been a while since we have had anything “Dallas”-related to share, and for good reason: The show’s in the middle of a lengthy hiatus right now. There’s no scoop coming out, no details on scripts or guest stars, and all of the post-mortem interviews are completed. This is basically the calm before what will be a flurry of information coming out near the end of the year.

During this hiatus, we at least wanted to update you with a bit of information for those of you who are curious about the approximate time in which the actors will be heading back to start filming the latest escapades at South Fork Ranch to air in the new year. In response to a fan on Twitter, Patrick Duffy proclaimed that filming for the new season is going to start off in September, which is still a hearty three months away.

So what sort of story can we expect to see now? While we know that J.R. Ewing’s shadow will still loom large, we’re sure that the writers will at least veer somewhat away from that given that there are some other plots that require plenty of attention (just ask John Ross for more on that). Plus, some new characters and possible family members will enter the picture, and these people will require plenty of attention.

As per always, we will be your source all season long for scoop on the show, so be sure to keep check back for the latest.

In case you do want to read a little bit more news regarding the show’s official season 3 renewal, all you have to do is head on over to the story here from earlier in the spring.
