We are now here with the final two interviews from the post-“Big Brother Canada” finale event in the backyard of the house, and they are lively discussions with both runner-up Gary Levy and host Arisa Cox. Both interviews, like the night as a whole, were a part of a crazy and at times emotional experience and are worth a watch. (Thanks again to BB Canada Insider for all the work they’ve done to get these online!)
The obvious thing to remember with these videos is that we were literally just in the audience for the finale, and so many of opinions on this end (since we can’t speak for anyone else) were based on personal gut-check emotions. Should Gary have won this season? Sure, just because that’s the way the votes would have went had Topaz voted correctly. However, at the end of the day the ending is what it is. Jillian played a pretty strong game, won challenges, and it’s hard to complain against her winning, and we are comfortable saying that even while still being fans of the Sheyld.
Plus (and as Gary says in here), he’s not even that concerned about the money. He just comes across like a very sweet and genuine guy, and we hope that he will be able to find great ways to use his powers to inspire others and really make a name for himself. There aren’t many opportunities that reality TV alum have to stay in the spotlight, but Gary is one of those characters that could actually pull it off.
In turning to Arisa, she explains in the video below what it was like dealing with the madness at the finale, what the future holds for her, and how excited she is to come back if the show returns next year.
So with that, we close the door on “Big Brother Canada” season 1. Of course, we cover plenty of TV news that has nothing to do with “Big Brother,” but we will be around all summer long for “Big Brother 15.” The first promo is already out, so it should be a good time.
