TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 2 spoilers: Lee Majors teases three-episode arc

TNTAs we near the end of “Dallas” season 2, we are set to see the action taken up a notch yet again; and this time around, it is coming courtesy of a man with quite a history in primetime soaps as it is in Lee Majors. The former “Knot’s Landing” and “Dynasty” star will be appearing in three episodes of the TNT drama as Ken Richards, a man who has a past romantic history with Sue Ellen that dates back before the days of J.R. Ewing.

This history is going to lead to some very interesting scenes between these two characters, and in a new interview with TVLine, Majors explains the context in which he shows up on the Southfork Scene for the first time:

“She calls him out of the blue for some business help — and she does mention that she’d been wanting to call me for quite a while, but needed a reason to pick up the phone … Sue Ellen hints at some romanticism, but I don’t know which way it’s going.”

In the wake of Larry Hagman’s death, the show has tried to pay tribute to him by allowing his character to go out in the sort of epic, brain-numbering way in which he would have wanted to leave: with an epic “who shot J.R.?” mystery that keeps people guessing for a very long time. Hopefully, we will have a satisfying conclusion to it, and the inclusion of Majors is certainly welcome as a man who has a pretty strong history with both Hagman (who he lived near in Malibu) in many years along with classic television.
