After being completely and totally silent for weeks, the two contestants are finally getting the opportunity to speak out — and they are each revealing that they don’t even have much to reveal just yet. Samuel confirmed to TV Guide that they have not begun shooting yet, but Damian suggested that he does have a good idea who his character is (even if he is not really allowed to talk about it yet):
“We haven’t heard an awful lot. We haven’t heard much whatsoever to be honest. I think they were really waiting for this to happen and for it to be out there … I think they have clear and obvious plans in their head for myself and Samuel. I’m guessing inside the next month we’ll begin work on Glee.”
All indications seem to suggest that Damian will play a young student from Ireland who is trying to fit in, but finds it difficult since he is just about as much of an outsider as one can be. Meanwhile, Samuel’s Christian influences do lead us to believe that faith will play some sort of role with his character — though his look probably will keep him from being an incoming freshman (which Damian might be able to actually pull off).
What kind of characters do you want to see these two play — and what about Alex and Lindsay, who were also given two-episode arcs on the show?
