‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Darren Criss, Kevin McHale announce new achievement

Darren CrissRemember when “Glee” celebrated its 300th musical number by holding a massive press conference and talking about how far the show has come? While it’s still to be seen if they are going to be doing the same thing with number #500, we do at least know now that the cast has managed to reach the massive achievement. In case you are wondering for what episode these performances will appear, our guess at the moment is that it will be during “Girls (and Boys) on Film,” the first hour following Will and Emma’s wedding that will likely air in March.

This news was confirmed via series star Darren Criss earlier this past week, when he had the following message to post on his Twitter account on this very subject:

“I get to shoot two great songs today-the 1st is from one of my favorite movies, and the 2nd will be our 500th musical number on Glee. 500th!”

Criss was not the only one speaking enthusiastically about the show reaching such an elusive milestone, as Kevin McHale also had the following message to share online:

“Just a sensible Glee studio sesh at 10am! Later we shoot our 500th musical number!! Can’t believe it.”

For those wondering about some of the other major “Glee” song milestones, we have them for you below.

Performance #100 – “Beautiful” (from the episode “Home”)

Performance #200 – “Silly Love Songs” (from the episode of the same name)

Performance #300 – “Rumor Has It / Someone Like You” (from the episode “Mash Off”)

Performance #400 – “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” (from “Nationals”)

For those wanting some extra trivia from “Glee,” “We Are Young” by fun. is the 100th performance to feature Lea Michele’s vocals as Rachel Berry.
