‘One Life to Live’ finds executive producer for Prospect Park reboot

One Life to Live Fans of “One Life to Live,” rejoice! As long and as horrible as the road has been for the show getting back on the air, it is now looking a little bit more like the idea of it getting to air new episodes online via Prospect Park is actually going to happen. This is really a sentence that we never thought we were going to say, especially after the hopes and dreams of so many soap fans were tossed into the ground last year when guild negotiations kept the deal from going down to bring the beloved soaps to the web.

Now, however, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Jennifer Pepperman, who served as the coordinating producer on the beloved ABC soap prior to its cancellation, is set to take on the role of executive producer for the online venture. This is a major step in the right direction, as getting a creative team in place is essential in making sure that this can even get off the ground to begin with.

There are still plenty of other questions that still have to be answered with this show, though, and the status of many of the actors has to be at the top of the list. Many of the stars have moved on to other shows, and a few of them have even found themselves some new homes seemingly on another ABC soap in “General Hospital.” Does everyone return to a workplace that was loved dearly, or are they instead going to press forward with jobs on a traditional medium? As this project continues to move forward, we will hopefully find out more about the actors in the weeks ahead.

What do you think: is there anyway that the revived version of the show can live up to the original? If you want to read some more “One Life to Live” news, you can do so over at the link here.
