‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Scoop on Paul Wesley, Candice Accola

Even though there may not be a new “Vampire Diaries” season 4 episode on this fine Thanksgiving, there is still plenty to be thankful when it comes to the hit CW show. After all, we are going to be back with new installments beginning next week, and there is plenty coming up in the way of changing relationships. With Elena and Stefan no longer together, who knows where these two will go next? While Paul Wesley’s character may not be getting a new love interest anytime soon, he will be developing his friendship with another character in Caroline who could be going through some romantic woes of her own.

So how is this friendship going to shape up in the coming weeks? Candice Accola spoke recently in an interview with TV Guide, and she had the following  to say about how they are really going to lean on each other during tough times:

“They’re both struggling with trying to support the ones they love in difficult circumstances that they don’t necessarily agree with … They come together over that and find a friendship that’s long overdue.”

There is really something within this friendship that is rather refreshing. What is it? It is hard to necessarily pinpoint, but we attribute it largely to the fact that this show so rarely shows us friendships between men and women, and this is also a rare opportunity for Stefan to spend time with a character who is nos his brother, his love interest, or a member of the Originals.
