‘Supernatural’ season 8 spoilers: First look at Castiel’s new mission

A week from Wednesday night, “Supernatural” will be back with an all-new episode, and it will really revolve around one primary theme: cartoons. This is the episode that many of us have been looking forward to, but sadly we are going to be waiting for it a little bit longer than most other episodes thanks largely to the fact that the Thanksgiving holiday is quickly approaching.

So what are we going to be seeing during this hour? First things first, Misha Collins fans should smile at this being his first real mission as a hunter … and it already looks hilarious. Specifically, the bit about him being the “bad cop” is worth watching time and time again and smiling over. It’s just funny, and having Cass back in the real world should really give us more opportunities for these sort of opportunities … which is a good thing, considering that the show has become a tad more serious as of late thanks to Sam and Dean working on their relationship.

In going back to the cartoon theme that we have talked about here previously, the show will feature the Winchesters and Cass investigating a series of bizarre deaths involving anvils and other bizarre objects that you typically see only in a “Looney Tunes” short. The show is not going to go meta and turn into an actual cartoon, but it will be interesting to see how the show manages to become grounded in reality again.

Are you excited for what is going to unfold during this episode? We want to hear some more of your thoughts below!
