‘Gossip Girl’ season 6 spoilers: Guess who’s making amends?

If the sixth season of “Gossip Girl” was going for a redemption theme, then it only makes sense to be seeing a couple of characters would try to right some of their many wrongs by the time the show comes to a close.

So who are we talking about here? It really should not take many guesses at all to realize that it is Dan and Serena. After all, these are the two characters responsible for causing the greatest amount of mayhem over the past few years, and it is largely due to their own actions in alienating many of their friends (or in the case of Dan, write a tell-all about people using their real names).

This patching-up could come as soon as the seventh episode of the season, which is appropriate entitled “Save the Last Chance” as a way to suggest that there is some urgency for these characters to try and fix their problems sooner rather than later. Here’s the full description:

“Serena (Blake Lively) and Dan (Penn Badgley) realize that they need to make amends with the people they have wronged. Blair (Leighton Meester) has one last chance to prove to her mother her worth as a fashion designer and with Serena’s help, comes up with a plan to make her line the ‘it’ look for Sage (guest star Sofia Black-D’Elia) and her friends. Chuck (Ed Westwick) is close to getting the evidence he needs against his father, until one of his closest allies reveals his plan to Bart (guest star Robert John Burke).”

Will some of these plans work out for Dan and Serena? Maybe, but don’t expect the two to find any sort of instant gratification with what they do here. Rather, it is probably going to take everyone at least a week or two to really work things out. The only real exception? Serena and Blair, who will be thrown into the fire right away.
