‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Anne Hathaway, Jeremy Renner, Rihanna coming up

In addition to providing the first promo for the upcoming edition of “Saturday Night Live” hosted by Louis C.K. this weekend, we now have some brand-new information worth salivating over: the hosting lineup for the rest of the month. There is a healthy mix of returning guests in here, and to go along with that we also have someone who will be making an appearance for the first time.

On November 10, we will be kicking things off courtesy of an appearance from none other than Anne Hathaway, who is hosting the show for the third time. Even though her gig at the Oscars was pretty much terrible, the one thing that we will really give her some credit for was having a great show here the last time around. Hathaway’s spunk and attitude make her perfect for this show, since she really is game to tackle just about any sketch thrown at her. Rihanna will be the musical guest here, and this is the fourth time she has stepped into this role. Unfortunately, the absence of Andy Samberg now means that we are now going to see any more Shy Ronnie sketches between the two parties.

Meanwhile, the November 17 telecast will be fronted for the first time by someone with no experience on the “SNL” stage in Jeremy Renner, which could be hit-or-miss given that Daniel Craig’s show earlier this month was pretty “meh.” Maroon 5 is going to be the music guest here, and they have a little more experience performing on the show. Granted, we wonder how much Adam Levine is going to enjoy it given how busy he is with “The Voice.”
