HALO Awards 2012: Justin Bieber, Emma Stone to take part in this year’s ceremony

Nick Cannon has so many jobs that it can be hard to keep track of sometimes, but one of his primary duties is playing a major part in running the Nickelodeon offshoot TeenNick. With that in mind, he is getting prepared to thrust into the limelight yet again the awards show that he created in the Halo Awards. Unlike other awards shows out there, its goal is to actually use celebrity to honor normal teenagers who are doing extraordinary things to help their communities as well as the country.

This year, the awards show is set to tape at the Hollywood Palladium on November 17, and air just two days later. As for who is going to join Cannon (who also hosts “America’s Got Talent” in addition to trying to run a media empire), the list includes some Hollywood A-listers including Justin Bieber, Emma Stone, Josh Duhamel, and Tyra Banks. The ultimate reason behind getting so many stars together is pretty simple: not only does it help these individual A-listers show that they are in touch with the community and want to give back, but it also is yet another great way to convince viewers to tune in and watch a brand of TV that can often be a hard sell.

We’re thrilled that the HALO Awards are coming back, and that Cannon did get a pretty great roster of people to appear this time around. Now, we just have to wait and see if he can convince Sharon Osbourne and Howard Stern to stick around “America’s Got Talent” for another year (though this seems unlikely with the former).

Are you planning to watch the show this year?
