‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Robin Hood, the Little Mermaid, and more

One of the funny things about “Once Upon a Time” is that even though we constantly have more and more when it comes to exciting characters on the show from the world of fiction, we always want more. Captain Hook was one that just about everyone was anticipating seeing on the show Sunday night, but there are still some more important new faces coming up including Jorge Garcia’s character of the Giant.

So who else may be turning up? While we don’t have any confirmation of anything just yet, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis did share a few new ideas in an interview with Entertainment Weekly as to who they are looking at bringing into the world next.

So who is on the table now? Kitsis and Horowitz seem to be for sure looking at such people as Robin Hood, Oz, Mary Poppins (eventually), and of course the much-discussed Little Mermaid. (Hey, JoAnna Garcia is now available.) Meanwhile, Tom Sawyer, Captain Ahab, Tarzan, and at least one character from Greek mythology remain possibe. As for characters you should not expect to see, they are not interested so much in recreating original Disney characters like Tron or Captain Jack Sparrow.

One of the more interesting comments made during this interview is that Sheriff Graham was originally going to be Sherlock Holmes in the other world, but the plan was eventually changed after they failed to get the rights. Kitsis and Horowitz are now saying that they are big fans of “Sherlock,” and probably will not bring the character on the show unless they are played by Benedict Cumberbatch. (Plus, “Elementary” on CBS may have this market cornered.)

Who from the fairy tale world do you want to see pop up on the show next?
