Is Queen Sugar new tonight on OWN? What lies ahead
Well, here’s the bad news — the show isn’t on the air tonight. It’s on a break, but it’s not an altogether long one. You’ll get a chance to see some more new episodes on the air next week, so hopefully that will be enough to make up for having this small break in the action. There’s more drama coming next week, whether it be the latest fallout on Nova’s book, the status of everything with Violet, and also a few more twists that you don’t see coming — even if you should! Queen Sugar is the sort of show that does have a tendency to defy expectations at just about every opportunity.
So do you want to know what’s coming up? That’s what the promo below is all about. Within this preview, you get to hear some news when it comes to the National Book Awards! In a different situation, maybe this would be a cause for great celebration! Yet, within the world of Queen Sugar at the moment — and with all of the metaphorical water that is under the bridge — we’re not sure that you can say that here.
Then, there’s also talk of politics, of more relationship problems, and a few more twists that are going to be coming. We don’t know if the writers knew that there was going to be some sort of hiatus in the middle of the season, and if they did, maybe this episode will more than make up for it.
