NCIS season 17 filming kicks off with Sean Murray, cast
If you want to get a glimpse of some of the cast members on set, check out the Instagram Stories for Wilmer Valderrama (Torres) and Emily Wickersham (Bishop). They show them back around set getting set to film what’s looking to be an exceptional premiere episode. (Wickersham also posted a photo of herself alongside Wilmer and Sean Murray — who still has the goatee, for those wondering.)

While there may not be too many specifics out there as of yet for the NCIS season 17 premiere, there are a few things that are easy to surmise. Take, for example, that Ziva will have a big role in it following the cliffhanger. She made it clear to Gibbs that he was in danger and we’re sure to get more information on whatever some of those threats are. Beyond that, we’re also sure that there will be some updates as to where Ziva has been ever since leaving the team — and her subsequent “death”. This train is departing for Ziva Town in the premiere and we are all aboard!
As we’ve said in the past, we wouldn’t be surprised if CBS releases some form of Ziva content leading up to the premiere in September. They may not share many behind-the-scenes peeks of Cote on set in order to make a big splash off of whatever material they release, but it’s not as though her presence in the first episode is a secret. CBS confirmed that it was happening in a press release following the incredible season 16 finale.
For now, let’s take things one news item at a time. We’re glad that the NCIS cast and crew are back on set, so let’s hope for a few more surprise details to come out in the weeks ahead.
