SEAL Team season 3 filming underway! Cast celebrates

SEAL Team

What’s going to be coming up on SEAL Team season 3? Think in terms of more action, more surprises, and also opportunities to see personal stories that are relatable to most of the show’s core viewers.

No matter what the writers are intent on delivering, know and celebrate this: Work is being done now in Los Angeles! (Fun fact: The studio for SEAL Team is also the location for last season’s Survivor: Edge of Extinction finale — we were at the Survivor finale last year and it was cool to see the show’s signage all over the place!).

Also if you didn’t hear the big news this morning SEAL Team has an Emmy nomination for stunt coordination for a drama series, limited series or movie. Congrats to the show for their continued outstanding work! In a time when network television rarely gets noticed at the Emmys these days it’s wonderful to see some recognition going towards this show.

In a new couple of posts on their Instagram Stories, cast members David Boreanaz (Jason Hayes) and Toni Trucks (Lisa Davis) both celebrated the start of season 3 production. Trucks also shared some images from a new mobile gym that’s going to make it so much easier for some of the cast members to stay in shape, which makes a lot of sense. When you think about the long hours that the cast endures in Los Angeles filming, it’s gotta be hard to go to a gym at the end of the day! Why not bring more of the workout to the cast? This is such a physical show and they need all the resources they can get.

As discussed previously, one of the largest challenges that the cast has in regards to SEAL Team season 3 is charting out new directions that can match the greatness of what we had in season 2. In between Jason losing Alana, Ray almost losing himself, and Clay questioning if he will ever be able to serve again, this was a season that pushed these characters to their brink. It’s one that made them think long and hard about who they are and what they’re going to want their legacy to be. In the weeks and months to come, maybe there will be new challenges that leave the Team to wonder if Bravo Team continues to be the best life for them? It’s rewarding to serve the country, but it also takes an incredible toll. It makes sense to explore that more.
