‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ spoilers: Time for an exorcism?

When you consider the sort of place that is the setting for the second season of “American Horror Story,” there are few things that really should surprise you; and yes, a possible exorcism should be somewhere on this list.

So what specifically are we expecting to see happen when it comes to this? According to a brand-new report from E! News, the event that we are talking about here is likely going to happen within the second episode of the season, which is going to premiere on FX Wednesday night. However, there are going to be all sorts of problems that come with the demon supposedly entering the body of one of the show’s characters: they are not going to be so keen on leaving. With that in mind, there are a number of clashes you should expect: not only are we going to see some sort of possession lead to screaming and shouting fights, but it’s also going to be incredibly frightening to go along with.

Sadly, we don’t know what character is going to be at the center of the story, but this sort of thing does certainly go along with the claims that this season of the show is going to be a little bit more in the “traditional” veins of horror than what we saw from the show last time. At the end of the day, this may even be a good thing for a number of reasons, mostly in that it will give Ryan Murphy a chance to show us some sort of theme that is already familiar, only to then later twist it on its head. While we have seen a number of movie exorcisms over the years, we’re not sure that we have seen one even remotely like the one we are likely going to be seeing here.
