‘Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars’: Bristol Palin targeted again with package

When we said that people were going to be angry if Bristol Palin stayed on “Dancing with the Stars” again after getting a low score, we only said so in jest based on what happened with her first first time around when a man literally shot his television. However, for the second time in Palin’s two seasons on the show, someone has chosen to take it upon themselves to do something rather terrible and threaten people’s lives on a pretty grand scale.

According to a new report from TMZ, a mysterious package was sent to the CBS studio lot where the ABC competition tapes its performance shows this week, and the threat was basically rather simple: if Bristol is not taken off of the show, bad things are going to happen. The white powder inside (which also was sent to the show two seasons ago) turned out to be harmless, but the police are still treating this as a credible threat and are investigating.

Did Bristol probably deserve to go home this week based on scores alone? Sure, but this is something you really have to take so seriously. It’s a ballroom popularity contest, and if she stays around for a while longer, it obviously makes a good many viewers out there rather pleased. After all, she was not even in the bottom two. The only thing that we really can’t figure out is why so many people are able to support Palin on this show, but no one wanted to watch her Lifetime reality show “Life’s a Tripp” to the point where it was exiled to a late-night time slot to finish airing the rest of its season.

Our advice here if you hate Bristol or the Palin family is pretty simple: just don’t watch the show. It seems like she’s got a strong fan base yet again this year, and it’s not lot like getting angry is going to do you any good or cause her to mess up on the dance floor. Plus, if you really want her gone you have to stop doing things to galvanize the fan base to begin with.
