‘Dancing with the Stars’ review: Did Drew Lachey survive after bottom 2 disaster?

Last week on the “Dancing with the Stars” results show, we had a pretty predictable outcome in that Pamela Anderson ended up being the first person to be sent home from the ballroom. However, what was a bit more of a shock was seeing how season 2 champion Drew Lachey ended up being in jeopardy alongside her. He was never in the bottom two once during his entire first stint on the show, and it started to make us wonder whether or not he really has the fanbase for this show anymore.

So did things go any better for him this time around? The good news was he fared a bit better on the show Monday night, and got a better score because of it. The even better show? That the producers did not make him even wait to figure out his fate this week. We think that this was really a situation last time of Drew’s following thinking that he was safer than he was last time, and so they really rallied behind their guy and should do so for a couple more weeks.

As for the three people “in jeopardy” at the end of the show, we had the following three people stick around until the end of the show to learn their fate, and Bristol Palin was shockingly not one of them despite having the lowest overall score:

Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson – He was entertaining last night, but maybe the viewers actually understood that the technique of his performance was really pretty bad.

Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy – Kelly has a soap opera base, but it’s strange how the show is not focusing on that over a certain part of her anatomy that does not really generate much support from other women.

Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower – If they go home, this will really be the saddest thing ever based on how much fun they bring to the show. This was the first time that he has been in the bottom two.

So who ended up going home? At the end of the day, it was Joey and Kim who are already gone, and we have already lost someone who brought so much humor to the ballroom.

What did you think about the results this week?
