‘American Idol’ notes: Phillip Phillips, Carrie Underwood, Heejun HanSeptember 14, 2012 0 comments
For our Friday edition of “American Idol” notes, we are going to start things off by going “Home” with one Phillip Phillips; and following that up, Carrie Underwood is going to be taking her show on the road.
Phillip hits up “Ellen” – On Friday afternoon’s edition of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the reigning champ stopped by, and in the process had an opportunity to meet the former judge for the first time and perform his smash hit that doubled as his coronation song.
Phillip has had a pretty unique journey with the show, and this in many ways is what has made him so endearing now. We’ve actually enjoyed hearing him now in these talk show settings, mostly since it gives him an opportunity to be much more of himself and to exercise his creativity a little bit more. This, for instance, this pretty incredible performance.
Carrie Underwood’s tour begin – We feel like we would be remiss to not mention here the fact that Carrie’s “Blown Away” tour is set to officially kick off this weekend, and the photo to the left gives you a little bit of a better idea as to who her touring ensemble will be.
In a new post on her official Twitter account, the country star posted the photo to the left along with the following message:

Carrie’s tour is set to continue moving forward for the rest of the fall.
Heejun Han has TV meeting – Is Heejun looking to stay in TV after constantly making us laugh all season long? A post on his Twitter account suggests that he is at least trying:
“Meetings with TV producers are always fun, sharing ideas and laugh hard…
Please, let’s hope that something ends up happening here. The guy’s humor totally made Hollywood Week worth watching.
