With the news that “The Good Wife” season 4 premiere is now going to be the only episode featuring Kristin Chenoweth’s character of a political news reporter thanks in part to an injury, the show is certainly the target of many headlines. In keeping the focus on the content, though, the following question has to be asked — what else can we expect to happen during the episode? Lucky for us we have a pretty good idea.
In a press release on Friday, CBS sent out the following tease for a September 30 installment that will also feature appearances from Nathan Lane along with British actor Marc Warren:
“Alicia goes on the offensive when Zach is targeted by an overzealous state trooper. Meanwhile, after her ex-husband tracked her down in last season’s finale, Kalinda decides to stand her ground rather than continue hiding, and Diane and Will delve into the firm’s financial problems.”
Warren is going to be taking on the role of Kalinda’s ex, and early expectations are that it will be a rather lengthy arc that gives us a better idea as to the past of Archie Panjabi’s character. As for how Chenoweth’s exit is going to impact the rest of the series moving forward, that is not so entire clear — however, we do know that one of her former “GCB” co-stars has landed a new role that is very similar to who she was playing prior to her exit. (However, it does not seem as though Kristin’s exit prompted the other casting — it was planned all along.) No matter who is chasing her, expect Alicia to be hounded with all sorts of questions about her relationship with Peter for at least the early part of this season.
