While “Jersey Shore” season 6 is already in the can, two of its stars have not exactly had an easy time when it comes to finding themselves some filming locations for their upcoming second season of “Snooki & JWoww.” We already know that Morristown is seemingly off the table following a decision made by producers — and now, we’re hearing that some other locations are just not that interested in showing part of the Snooki’s recovery after giving birth.
According to multiple reports, the towns of Point Pleasant Beach and Toms River have each denied requests from company 495 Productions to shoot some exterior scenes in their cities. It looks as though Snooki and JWoww will film many of their interior scenes at their actual homes — which makes some sense, given that you can’t really expect Snooki to move into an “apartment” similar to the one they are living in during season 1 of their spin-off.
One town that is still technically on the table? Seaside Heights, the familiar setting for all things “Jersey Shore” — however, the gang was just in the city earlier this summer, and MTV along with its cast are desperate to show that there is more to these people’s lives than just partying at the Shore for a month every summer. They also seem desperate to keep the show mostly in New Jersey given what its title happens to be. “The Pauly D Project” didn’t so much follow this rule, but Pauly only made sporadic visits to his hometown in Rhode Island.
We understand why it is difficult to get filming permits for a show like “Snooki & JWoww” — they are polarizing characters, and he tourism benefits that can come with them does not always equal the dissatisfaction that can come from some of residents.
If you were a mayor of a New Jersey town, would you welcome some of the “Jersey Shore” cast to film there? We want to hear from you below! If you want to hear some more comments from Pauly D about “Jersey Shore” season 6, be sure and check out the link here. “Jersey Shore” season 6 is set to premiere on October — meanwhile, “Snooki & JWoww” is going to be returning to MTV early next year.
