Want to learn The Flash season 4 episode 10 return date? CarterMatt has that for you in the wake of tonight’s mid-season finale…
In the wake of the latest epic storyline you’re going to have a chance to see Grant Gustin and the remainder of the show’s cast arrive back on The CW on Tuesday, January 16 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. In terms of time-slot, there really isn’t all that much that is different about the show coming up in the new year. This is the highest-rated show on the network and as a result of that, there’s very little incentive for anyone within the network to want to make a change. They know, after all, that the series performs well where it is and can serve as a lead-in to many other programs. That’s why it is going to be used to help out new superhero drama Black Lightning in the new year.
As for how the network is going to schedule out some of the upcoming Flash season 4 episodes, that’s something we’ve been wondering much of the week thanks to the Winter Olympics. If The CW really wants to they can continue to air their schedule the way that they always do — give you a run of episodes in late January / February, go off the air for a few weeks, come back for a few weeks, and then return in late April in order to wrap things up. Another option is that they could just go off for the Olympics, come back in late February / early March, and then air a longer string of episodes than they typically do.
As for the future beyond the second half of the season, there’s no cause for concern with The Flash. We imagine that the show’s season 5 odds are almost at 100% pending something crazy happening, and beyond that a season 6 seems likely. Maybe whenever most of the cast contracts are expiring down the road you could see a little bit of drama, but we’re not anywhere close to that at the moment. For now if you love The Flash, just keep watching and feel good about the fact that the series doesn’t seem to be going anywhere in the near future.
