Nashville season 6 is premiering on CMT in January, and with that the network has a new promo all about Juliette.
You can see this new promo for the show below, and the main focus of it is of some of Juliette’s biggest diva moments. It’s a reminder that she is a performer who by and large knows what she wants, and she is probably going to continue to do anything and everything she wants in order to make that happen. In turn, that may make some other people miserable in the process.
In some ways, you can argue that the second half of the season brought Juliette back closer to her old self when she decided that she wanted to steal Maddie’s song in order to get herself a big hit on the charts. She did just that, but also faced the consequences for it when the truth was revealed. Where we want to see Juliette in season 6 is in the position of Queen Bee — the person ruling the charts and the person who is not altogether interested in watching her crown be passed to another up-and-coming artist. If this show is meant to be juicy and scandalous, make it juicy and scandalous. It’s not as interesting to us to watch her have another flop on the charts like her gospel album. We’d much rather see her come through with some big hits and be at the focal point of a lot of drama.
Maybe you can still show her humanity with a few softer moments behind the scenes, but we like the idea of the show coming full-circle with Juliette. Compare her relationship with Maddie to what it was when Juliette was the up-and-comer and Rayna was the star back during season 1. We’ll ultimately see what happens in just a matter of a couple of months!
