Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 2 looks to be bringing a bit of fun, which you may need following a crazy premiere. You may still be feeling bummed about about losing Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, just as you may be also feeling a little bit freaked out by the fire and seeing Joey Lawrence take a heel turn in playing an evil hacker.
Moving into next week’s new episode, you should be aware of the fact that it’s not going to be all sunshine and luaus, given that there is another major mission at the center of the story; however, there’s also going to be a lot of fun! Steve and Danny are going to continue making some steps in the right direction in their pursuit of opening a restaurant, which is something that they’ve been discussing in one form or another for a good while now. This is a way that they could someday get out of the crime-fighting business, but for those of you worried about that, the one message we can offer you is simple: Don’t be. It doesn’t seem like there are any immediate plans to make it happen. Heck, Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan’s characters could theoretically just hire a lot of good people around them and make the restaurant dream happen that way with the two of them working there part-time.
This episode is entitled “Kāu pahi, ko’u kua. Kāu pū, ko’u po’o” (“Your Knife, My Back. My Gun, Your Head”), and you can get more details on it below.
Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 2 synopsis – “Five-0 enlists the help of an old friend when the boss of a major crime family is murdered, triggering revenge killings across the island. Also, MacGarrett and Danny begin sorting out particulars in their new restaurant venture, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Oct. 6 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”
The returning guest star for this episode is Chris Vance as Harry Langford; it’s been a little while since you saw him on the show, but we’re doing for getting someone familiar into the fray for an hour to mix things up.
As for the promo that aired after tonight’s episode, the main focus of it was the return of Chris Vance — and the serious James Bond vibes that went along with him. We didn’t get to see much of the restaurant in the clip, but we know from the premiere that Steve and Danny do already have a space planned out.
Update: This episode is now being delayed until October 13.
