Real Housewives of Orange County season 12 episode 12 preview: Shannon Beador under the bus

Shannon Beador

Let’s start off this Real Housewives of Orange Country previewing by stating that, of course, there are many more important things in the world than Lydia McLaughlin getting shafted on a dinner party invitation. Yet, that is in part what makes this show so entertaining. It’s ridiculous the sort of things that lead to drama on this show! Of course someone would want to make a huge deal out of Lydia not getting a party invite, or with the way in which it happened.

As the promo below suggests, Shannon Beador may not have invited Lydia McLaughlin to a dinner party prior to Doug’s Balls Voyage Party (which is as ridiculous of a name as you’re every going to see). With this in mind, we could see all sorts of craziness come about. We’re not altogether sure that Lydia would really want to be there anyway, given that drama that could exist between Kelly Dodd and Peggy Sulahian. Nonetheless, this feels like one of those things that you want to be invited to just so that you can say that you were. Otherwise you just end up feeling excluded, and there aren’t too many out there who want to be in that position.

If you look below, the attached synopsis offers up a little more insight as to what’s coming up beyond just this event featured in the promo.

Synopsis – “Kelly goes into her breast reduction surgery with the sentimental support of her husband Michael. Tamra shares with Meghan her concern over Shannon’s recent behavior. Vicki and Shannon visit Kelly while she recovers at home. Shannon invites Tamra, Meghan, Kelly and Peggy out to dinner where Peggy defiantly defeats a deluge of digs from Kelly. And later, Lydia calls Tamra to invite her to Doug’s Balls Voyage party, but finds out that her invite to Shannon’s dinner was apparently lost at sea.”

Probably would one of the odd things about this season is that with all of the procedures happening, taking things away from people seems to be a big theme of these season. Who knew that would be the case going into it? These are people trying to better their lives, with the irony being that they are all still a part of a TV show that is very much intent on causing them stress.
