Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 3 spoilers: Harper Avery returns
If you are a longtime viewer of the ABC show, you know that it has been a rather long time since you have seen this character on the show. Nonetheless, Harper Avery’s presence is not the sort that ever goes away. It’s hard for it to when you remember that there is an award named after you, and you are widely considered to be one of the best in your craft in the entire country.
Granted, there is one very interesting question with the character returning to the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital — why? What does his return mean now? The Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 3 synopsis below (via SpoilerTV) suggests that there is one character in particular he will be interacting with:
“Harper Avery arrives and puts Bailey on edge; a familiar face from Meredith’s past returns as a patient; Amelia tries to manage a secret.”
The title for this episode is “Go Big or Go Home,” and we don’t think that this is the sort of title that should make anyone feel anything other than insanely nervous. After all, that suggests that there is someone in such a desperate state that you have to resort to a big risk. If you’re working at a hospital, we would think that the ultimately preference would be for something more resembling stability, especially given that you want to be able to accurately predict what is going to be happening at every possible moment. With this story, we’re not sure that such an opportunity is afforded.
Beyond getting to see Harper Avery again, we’re definitely curious to see who could return from Meredith’s past; meanwhile, we hope that Amelia will realize at some point down the road that secrets are the sort of thing that never end well for anyone, given that they’re very hard to keep that way and are the sort of thing that almost always comes out, even if you think that they never will.
