America’s Got Talent start time: Semifinal show delayed, but for how long?
So what’s happening tonight? It’s really so simple as a scheduling change to make way for the Hurricane Harvey telethon that is happening today. Because of that event airing across many of the different NBC networks at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, there’s not going to be a new episode of the NBC talent competition until you roll around to 9:00 p.m. Eastern. From there, the semifinals will continue as planned, and you will have a chance to see all of the remaining contestants do their part to prove that they are worthy of making it to the next round. We understand being upset about a time change for the show in some circumstances, but this is clearly a little bit different given that it’s being pushed for an hour in order to help out some other people. Hopefully, you’re able to give and to keep your hearts and mind open for those in Florida who are currently battling through Hurricane Irma, as well.
Beyond this time change, everything should be standard operating procedure for the show, and the plan tomorrow is for the results show to air at the same exact time as usual. There is one other change to be aware of, provided that you are a fan of Midnight, Texas. The supernatural show was originally meant to share the night tonight with AGT, but with the telethon coming on it will now air its ninth and penultimate episode a day later on Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.
America’s Got Talent this summer yet again remains a significant ratings revelation for the network, given that this is one of their most-watched shows and it has a loyal audience virtually all over the world (yep, even outside of the States). We certainly expect for there to continue to be some great entertainment to come out of the remaining episodes this season, and we’re excited for the opportunity to see what the finals bring beyond this week.
