Exclusive: Alfonso Ribeiro to moderate Shark Tank season 9 premiere event

Shark Tank season 9

The Shark Tank season 9 two-hour premiere will be airing on ABC come Sunday, October 1 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, but there’s a special premiere event coming up that has us even more excited for what lies ahead.

On Wednesday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific, there will be a special Shark Tank season 9 premiere event happening at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, and we are here to share some news that’s exclusive to CarterMatt. The panel will be moderated by none other than America’s Funniest Home Videos host Alfonso Ribeiro! Doesn’t it make sense to pair up one iconic show with another? We certainly think so, especially since on October 8, America’s Funniest Home Videos is going to serve as the Shark Tank lead-in. With Alfonso at the helm, you’ll get a chance to have some witty debates and celebrate the Sharks in a fun, comedic setting. Following the panel at 3:15, there will also be a reception on the Paley Center rooftop.

As for who will be in attendance, there are going to be some notable names from the Shark Tank franchise, including Sharks Kevin O’Leary, Daymond John, Robert Herjavec, newly-minted Dancing with the Stars contestant Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, and Lori Greiner. Meanwhile, they will be joined by Guest Sharks Bethenny Frankel, Rohan Oza, and Alex Rodriguez alongside executive producers Clay Newbill and Yun Lingner. Basically, just about every notable Shark Tank personality will be there to talk business, the show’s success, and to have a good time. (Also, former Dancing with the Stars champ Alfonso could give Barbara some advice on how to do the foxtrot, provided she’s not already getting some dance moves from Robert and Mark already.)

Over the past several years, Shark Tank has become a staple in the ABC lineup and a household name in making the dreams of entrepreneurs come true. Earlier this year, the show celebrated over $100 million in investments, and also the creation of more than 10,000 jobs stemming from companies appearing on the show. With it moving to Sunday nights this year there is clearly no sign of it slowing down. You’re going to have more investments, more powerful stories, and of course some more quirky ideas (you always get one or two that make Mr. Wonderful a little snarky, but we love him for it). The show is inspirational for anyone who’s ever had a dream of owning their own business, but it’s also entertaining and at times intense. These are all key ingredients to what makes Shark Tank stand out in the field of other business-based reality shows over the years.

We’re going to be in attendance at Shark Tank event this year, and we’re excited to see what words of wisdom and memorable moments come from it! It should serve as a nice foundation to what’s coming up in the episodes ahead.
