Peter Kraus says goodbye to Bachelor talk, Rachel Lindsay, more

Peter Kraus

As many of you know at this point, Peter Kraus is not The Bachelor — meanwhile, Arie Luyendyk Jr. is in with what seems to be a last minute scramble.

Why did this happen? Well, that’s something that CarterMatt tried to explain in a post earlier in the day. Some of this is hard to explain or understand given that Peter hasn’t really said anything openly about what happened behind the scenes or some of what’s going on here. He’s probably one of the few people who is actually privy to the majority of the information that is out there.

So even though Peter may be for the most part keeping quiet on why he’s not the next Bachelor, he was a little bit more open in regards to almost everything else. In a new post on Instagram (see below), Peter does explain precisely what he thought about his experience, being with Rachel Lindsay on The Bachelorette, and his gratitude towards ABC for giving him a chance to be a part of the show. It’s a very classy message, and one that may actually signal a desire from him to move beyond just being a part of the Bachelor franchise and onto bigger and better things.

Does this rule him out in terms of being a part of some other seasons down the road? We don’t think so. We could end up seeing him be a part of Bachelor in Paradise if he wants that, or even The Bachelor down the road. Maybe he gets to a point in his life where he wants this to happen. This is one of those things that we’ll just have to wait and see about, since so much can change over time. We never actually imagined that we would be in a position where Arie would end up being the Bachelor, and yet, here we are.

What do you think about Peter Kraus not being The Bachelor?

#tbt to the most incredible journey of this life time that has now officially come to an end today. As I sit here writing this, I struggle to hold back the tears as I am overcome with emotion one last time. First and foremost.. @therachlindsay , there are so very many things that I’ve wished I could say to you since the day we parted ways in Spain, but for everyone’s sake, I’ll keep it short… You gave me a chance and all that I can say is thank you. I have a heart filled with love for you now and always and wish you nothing but the best in your life and love ahead. ABC, you saw something in me, but something held me back. You treated me with such love and kindness and showed me glimpses of a life I never once dreamed that I could have. I will be forever humbled and grateful and will always look back at these last 6 months with an ear to ear smile, knowing that this has truly been a very special life indeed. Upon leaving the @bacheloretteabc I was asked, “what did you learn about yourself during this process?” And at the time I naively said “nothing that I can think of.” Now… looking back… I realize I learned one of the single greatest teachings of my life; When you let uncertainty or fear guide your decisions, you risk missing out on what could potentially be the greatest opportunity of a life time. So live dangerously, live without the fear of the unknown, and continue to live and love with a heart that is truly open to anything. #thankyou #lovealways
