Dancing with the Stars 25 finally gets Drew Scott, Nikki Bella (reports)
According to a new report from People, the Property Brothers star and one of WWE / Total Divas’ Bella Twins will be competing for the Mirrorball Trophy. The reason that we say “finally” in the title is just because the Property Brothers and the Bella Twins have been highly coveted by the show for a few seasons now, and this may be the first time that the stars aligned in a way that actually got the two of them on board the show.
What these two are going to bring to this upcoming season are a wide array of viewers almost instantly, given that they each have established followings and plenty of fans. We’re not sure how either one of them is actually going to fare on the season, but we are probably a little bit more confident in the ability of Bella just because wrestlers in general seem better equipped to be a part of this show. They’re used to performing in front of a live audience and understanding choreography on some level. It is a very different sort of performing, but there is some crossover.
Drew Scott, meanwhile, is better known for being the realtor at the heart of his famous show, which is about him and his brother Jonathan (a contractor) working with couples to help give them their ideal dream home without having to pay as much money for it. It’s a heartwarming program that’s become popular all over North America, and the two have been able to find some success in other ventures — including country music — off of the success of the show.
As for the remainder of the cast…
There aren’t any other official castings at the moment, but we anticipate that it will be fairly similar to some of the other ones that you’ve had a chance to check out over the past few years. There’ll be some actors, some performers, some surprise castings who’ve never been anywhere near a ballroom, and probably one or two ringers who look like they’re going to be around for the entirety of the season from the jump. While we think that Bella will do very well, at the same time we don’t exactly consider her to be a lock to make the finals. At least she doesn’t have some guaranteed dance experience where you look at her and just assume that she will be a part of the competition for the entire season.
