Teen Wolf season 6 episode 16 return date: Liam, Theo team up

Teen Wolf season 6 episode 16 return date

Want to know the Teen Wolf season 6 episode 16 return date? Well, we’re here with both some good and bad news. The good news is mostly just reminding you that you’re getting a chance to watch two episodes of the show tonight. The bad news, meanwhile, is reminding you that there are now two weeks until the next new episode is airing on Sunday, September 3.

What’s the reason for that? Blame the MTV Video Music Awards for coming on the air and disrupting everything for one week’s time. We understand why they would want to do this given that the awards show is a ratings smash for them, but we certainly think you could’ve just aired a new episode afterwards for the sake of giving Teen Wolf better ratings … but that’s just us and we very much are aware that we’re speaking here almost entirely from the perspective of someone who wants to see more of the show.

Now, let’s get to sharing a little more in the way of insight in what’s coming up when the show does come back on the air.

Teen Wolf season 6 episode 16 synopsis – “Liam and Theo attempt to draw the Hunters away from Beacon [Hills].”

Episode title meaning

We do want to get into this for a moment, given past discussions about this season having a political theme. The title for episode 16 is “Triggers,” which clearly has a double meaning. From one vantage point, it simply just means that characters could be caught in the crosshairs and that someone out there may do their best to shoot them. However, at the same time there’s another interesting meaning here in that being “triggered” is something that has been used as a derogatory expression over the past year, a sign of someone not being “tough enough” or flying off the handle when they hear something that they don’t like.

Within the context of Teen Wolf, this could be the ideology of the Hunters, a group of people who have already shown a propensity to attack other people simply based on the vantage point of them being different. As a means to cover up their own insecurities, they would be the ones to fire off more derogatory statements. They may just see this as a way to bury people even more and make them feel inferior. It’s a manipulative tactic.

Hopefully, Laim and Theo are successful in their mission and take the Hunters down a notch — there’s still something about the two of them even working together at this point that surprises us. Maybe it’s the part that stems from never knowing whether Theo is someone who can actually be trusted.
