Bachelor in Paradise 4 video: Wells Adams is the new bartender

Wells Adams

Recently in regards to Bachelor in Paradise 4one of the things that we shared was that Jorge the Bartender would be (rather unfortunately) leaving. Now, we know that Wells Adams is going to be stepping into the bartender role for the first time!

In the video below, you’re going to see what some of this transition is going to be. Jorge comes out to announce to the cast that he is off to pursue some other dreams that he has in life (we want a spin-off show about this). With this, Wells comes out with his branded polo to proclaim that he is going to be taking over the role for the remainder of the season. He claims that he’s not there to go on dates, and is only there in order to serve drinks and keep the fun times going. We’ll see if that ends up being the case, but if it is, it’s an interesting new dimension to the show.

This is an interesting trade-off for the show, mostly because Jorge was one of the most quirky characters on the franchise — what was so fun about him was that he was largely disconnected from everything and we’re not entirely sure he knew who any of these people were or where they were from. Nonetheless, he turned up on this show the past two seasons and even got a spot in the theme song by the end of it.

With Wells, you are getting a known commodity with an established fan base, and one of the good things about this appearance for him is that he doesn’t have to dive head-first into the chaos. He can come on the show, have some fun, and not get caught up in all of the romance of it all. Given his career in radio, we also do figure that he’s got a knack for communication and having conversations with various people. Fingers crossed that this turns out well for him.

Also, fingers crossed that the franchise still manages to get plenty of ratings and have a strong pop-culture impact, given that this would be very much helpful in making sure that the show gets renewed for a fifth season! There was obviously a great deal of controversy going into this season thanks to the scandal, but we do think that there’s a reasonably good chance that it all fades away in a few weeks once the season really starts to get going.
