Bachelor in Paradise 4 spoilers: Is big change for Jorge the bartender coming?

Jorge the bartender

We know that people don’t love change, but there may be a change coming on Bachelor in Paradise that unnerves many people. It involves Jorge the bartender. Is he really leaving the show in the premiere episode? There’s been talk about Wells Adams replacing him in the role — heck, there’s even footage of Wells taking on that role — and signs seem to be pointing towards something happening with Jorge where he departs early on with the show.

The official synopsis below via ABC makes this clear — of course in the most dramatic way possible. It also tells you a thing or two more about some of the other events that are coming within the episode:

“One of the most shocking and dramatic seasons in Bachelor Nation history begins with host Chris Harrison explaining that production had to be suspended. Later, a beloved bartender from seasons past tearfully tells the new arrivals news that will change Paradise forever. Later, Harrison announces a new twist that poses a threat to the men. One distressed damsel is crushed when the dude she finds dreamy is asked out on a date by another woman to whom she had previously confessed her crush. One bikini-boasting babe finds herself torn between Santa Claus and a penguin. Meanwhile, an unfortunate female receives some sad news that sends her packing for home, with the hope of returning. But will the boy she bonded with be able to find a way of staying in Paradise without her rose? Two runners-up from previous seasons hook up for a date that involves some wet and wild fun in the sun. But by episode’s end, will Paradise be closed for good, or will one of the best parts of summer be saved?”

For those wondering what’s going on with “Santa Claus” and a penguin, it’s obviously a reference to Nick from JoJo Fletcher’s season and then Matt from Rachel Lindsay’s. As for the runners-up, could we be talking about Raven Gates and Robby Hayes? In terms of people who are on this show and in this position, we’re not all that sure that there are too many other options out there.

Basically, you’re going to have the DeMario Jackson – Corinne Olympios scandal casting a shadow on the earlier part of this season, but beyond that you should expect this to be very much the same Bachelor in Paradise that you’ve come to know over time. There will be jealousy, hookups, breakups, and just about every other element of drama that we’ve seen on the show over the years.
