Is The Night Shift new tonight on NBC? Further season 4 scoop!

Night Shift new tonight

Is The Night Shift new tonight on NBC? After so many weeks of new episodes, it’s understandable to want more! That’s especially true when you remember that the next new episode is even more special than most. Every single person brought on specifically for the episode, whether they are a guest star or a crew member, is a veteran. That’s an impressive way to honor the military, while still telling some great stories in the process.

Unfortunately, you won’t be seeing that episode tonight — we’re on a brief one-week hiatus, but the show will return with its veteran-themed episode next week. You can see a further preview for that over at the link here!

Meanwhile, below what we’ve got for you, as a means to better tide you over, are some of the first details regarding what lies ahead in the weeks to come. Obviously, there are minor spoilers included but authorized in the sense that they were previously released by NBC.

Episode 4×08, August 17 – “When Jordan (Jill Flint) realizes the hospital is under cyber-attack, she leads the team in managing patient care as chaos ensues. Drew (Brendan Fehr) and Kenny (JR Lemon) treat a critical patient forcing Drew to call on his medical and military training. TC (Eoin Macken) joins Rick (guest star Luke Macfarlane) and his partner (guest star Michael Lehr) on a SWAT drug raid. Meanwhile, he wrestles with whether or not he should return to Syria to tie up loose ends.”

Could TC’s time in San Antonio really be that short-lived? Anything is possible on this show, and we’ve come to know already that Macken’s character is very much a wayward soul.

Episode 4×09, August 24 – “TC (Eion Macken) and Jordan (Jill Flint) accompany a SWAT team on a raid and wind up with an emergency room full of sickened immigrants, including one with murderous intentions. Scott (Scott Wolf) pulls a dream team together to impress the Colonel in charge of setting up a combat training program. More is learned about Cain’s (guest star Mark Consuelos) past. Kenny (JR Lemon) shares some big news with the group, while Shannon (Tanaya Beatty) keeps something personal from Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.).”

If TC’s going to be heading overseas again, at least know he’ll be around for one more episode! This should be a good episode for a wide array of different reasons, whether it be getting a good amount of Jordan/TC screen time to learning more about Cain, the man of mystery who’s been a big part of this season.

Clearly, there’s a lot to look forward to through the remainder of the season, and hopefully a season 5 renewal will be coming in the weeks/months ahead!

While you wait…
