Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Did Kevin spill the beans? (day 36)

Big Brother 19

Today, Kevin in the Big Brother 19 house further proved something: We really can’t have nice things when it comes to blindsides.

Kevin is getting close to winning the James Huling Memorial Spoiling Our Fun award for telling Jessica tonight that he thinks that the house could flip on her and Cody and send Ramses home. Our guess is that he did this to keep his options open in the future, which is pretty smart gameplay — provided that he doesn’t get caught doing it. You do want to make sure you’re safe no matter where the chips fall, though Kevin didn’t necessarily need to do this. Who was going to target him next week? (It’s worth noting that Kevin didn’t guarantee that this is necessarily going to happen, but he did mention that it was a likely possibility.)

The funny thing is that earlier today, Paul made a pitch to Kevin that he should win Head of Household and nominate Elena and Mark. There’s a zero percent chance Kevin should do that. Right now, he’s showing exactly how to play this game without winning competitions — you can do that and make it really far in the game just by making good relationships and playing people. In some ways, this makes you an almost even more deserving winner than it would otherwise.

As for how Cody and Jessica are reacting to the news of there being a possible flip, it’s about how you would expect: They’re upset. They still think that Ramses will stay in the game, but Jessica’s already wishing that she had just gone with her gut and nominated Alex instead of leaving him up there. Paranoia will likely get worse as the night goes on. The problem that they face is that they don’t think that they have that much control over anyone at the moment. There are a lot of people who don’t trust them, and they’ve been relying almost more on the connections that people like Mark and Elena happen. They’re stuck watching all of this unfold unless Jessica tries to throw out some crazy threat or they come up with a further plan.

When the vote does happen tomorrow, it wouldn’t shock us if Kevin does throw a hinky vote and make things a little more dramatic. More than likely, though, he’ll vote with the numbers and tell her after the fact that he knew what was going to happen and couldn’t be left on an island. Throwing out votes is a dangerous game, and it can easily come back to bite you.
