Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Christmas, far from canceled (day 34, evening)
What Christmas is doing that is so impressive this week is play the middle of the house — while there are people somewhat aware of it including Paul, there are so many bigger targets that doing something about it right now is a waste. She earned Jessica’s respect after the Head of Household Competition, and in not nominating her, Jessica feels like she was good on her side of the deal. Meanwhile, the only person that seems to want her out is Jason, largely because he feels bad for hurting her and doesn’t want to have to look at her anymore. (Seriously, we’re not making this up.)
Earlier, Christmas also approached Jess telling her that she was planning to vote to evict Ramses, and she then went and told Ramses the same thing. She made it clear that this was a move based on her desire to honor someone in Josh who stood up for her and protected her during the game — she wants him to “leave” with some support. It offers up some plausible deniability in the event that she wants to go that route after the blindside vote (which does seem to be happening still), and it also probably makes it so that there are other people for Jessica and Cody to be angry at — think along the lines of Paul, Matt, and Raven. Jessica was going around earlier saying that she wanted this to be a unanimous vote, and now, that’s not happening for her. Too bad, so sad.
We don’t often do pieces focusing on a single player, but we would say right now that alongside Kevin and maybe Elena, Christmas is in one of the best spots in the house and she deserves some credit for the hustle. They’ve all been discussed as targets, but also people playing the game. They’re not perceived as useless a la Matt, and they also don’t have the big target on them that Paul does. Jessica and Cody avoided putting Paul on the block, even if there was a configuration of players that could have sent him home … and we don’t understand that at all. They had a perfect chance to tip the scales further in their favor, and they completely bungled it. He’ll still probably be gone before the endgame.
Random commentary
Can we just say quickly how much we adore the fact that Kevin refuses to call Cameron by his actual name? Instead, it’s always Crawford, which is simultaneously cruel and also hilarious.
