Shark Tank rankings: The Elephant Pants, DartDrones, Sand Cloud Towels, Ora Organic

Elephant Pants

Tonight on Shark Tanka repeat featuring The Elephant Pants, DartDrones, Sand Cloud Towels, and Ora Organic will air. Within this article, we’re here to provide our take on all of them! This is a fun lineup of products that all bring some different things to the table — this episode is the one with millennial entrepreneurs, so this is meant to represent the way that young people today are thinking and conducting business.

As we move into our rankings, it’s great to point out that all of these companies remain active and engaged; we don’t think there are any duds following their time on the show. These rankings are just based mostly on how they fared in the Tank plus our perception of them in the weeks that have followed the appearance.

4. Ora Organic – We’ll be the first to admit that we’re not the right target audience for this product at all — nonetheless, we do understand the desire and need for many people out there to have plant-based products that are organic, safe, and a way to get the nutrients they need that fit their lifestyle. They remain active following their time on the show, so mass kudos for that! Our issue for ranking it #4 is simply a matter of price. This is a very specific consumer base, and while they are used to often paying more, many of the products are still a rather pricey buy.

3. Sand Cloud Towels – We actually had a difficult time ranking this brand given that our love for the message and our thoughts about the product itself are two different things. We love that they are well-designed, creative, and they donate money to a good cause — the thing that still gives us pause, even months removed from the Tank, is the price point compared to other beach towels. You’re paying for the message, and you could easily buy a cheaper towel and donate to some of the similar marine-life programs if you wanted to.

With all of that said, we do still think this is a solid business, and they’re still working to keep themselves at the forefront. They’re doing more than fine since the show first aired.

2. DartDrones – This was also tough — we probably switched this one and Sand Cloud Towels a few times over the past hour. This is a great idea, given that there are so many idiots out there who will fly their drone onto your roof and then come over and complain about it if something goes awry. The issue here is that will some of these said idiots be willing to educate themselves? We’re still not sure, but they’ve shown viability since the Tank and we like that this is a business that is not really replicated in too many other forms.

1. The Elephant Pants – This is another one of those millennial products with a larger cause behind it, but they’re more than your standard Shark Tank clothing line. We like the continued evolution we’ve seen from them since the show, and there’s a continued effort here to introduce new ideas and stay separate enough from the show to stand on its own — you don’t want to use Shark Tank too much as a crutch, since that can very-easily hurt your brand.
