TNT’s Will episode 3: What’s coming next for Shakespeare drama?

Will episode 3

Going into Will episode 3, are you engaged? This rock-and-roll-Shakespeare series is going with its own interpretation on the Bard’s life. It’s adventurous, risky, and we give the team some credit for coloring outside the lines a little bit in making this different from the wide array of other Shakespeare stories that are out there.

So what is going to be coming up on the show following the two-hour premiere tonight? Well, episode 3 will continue to give you a further sense of his past, how he becomes the man that you see down the road, and also some revelations along the way.

Will episode 3 synopsis – “Will (Laurie Davidson) has an epiphany, which could lead him to success but he needs Alice’s help (Olivia DeJonge). A charismatic fugitive from Will’s past burdens him with a dangerous obligation.”

What may be even more exciting for you to see is the promo below, which does offer up an extended look at the remainder of the season — and a lot of great reasons to keep watching, to boot. If you’re watching Will for romance, drama, action, and intrigue, rest assured that it looks like this show’s going to have all of this. You’ll see him be so daring as to challenge the establishment, create plays with powerful messages, and find himself torn between multiple women. You’ll also see executions, just because you couldn’t quite have an episode set in this era without this sort of thing going down.

Will this Will become a hit?

Following tonight’s new episode, that is one of the questions that we’re wondering, mostly given the fact that the show’s ratings won’t be available until later tomorrow. We do think that this is a show that brings a lot of great stuff to the table as a summer series, but the flip side of this is that it’s also a show that doesn’t necessarily have the most mass-market appeal. Sure, Shakespeare may be one of the most famous people in history, but Still Star-Crossed failed on ABC despite having ties to Romeo & Juliet. This is also a network that hasn’t been able to stake much of a claim just yet when it comes to period dramas.

A couple of weeks from now, we’ll have a far better idea what the future holds for this series — given that we want great scripted content on the air in the summer, we’re hoping for the best.
