Marvel’s Inhumans: Set to premiere this fall on ABC

Inhumans

Marvel’s Inhumans will have its highly anticipated premiere on Friday, September 29 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC.

The fan-favorite comic book series will come to the small screen this fall as a new family drama.

With its premiere, the new series will be brought to life in a never before seen way, as the first of two episodes will be shown globally in IMAX theaters for two weeks, beginning on September 1st, 2017. ABC has then decided to air the entire series throughout the fall season with additional content only being shown on ABC.

Inhumans explores the never-before-told (at least on TV) epic adventure of the Royal Family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic commanding King of the Inhumans. His voice is so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family is split by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever.

The ABC show stars Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Maximus, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Ken Leung (The Night Shift) as Karnak, Ellen Woglom as an undisclosed character, Sonya Belmores as Auran, and Mike Moh as Triton.

Scott Buck (Dexter) will serve as executive producer and showrunner, along with Jim Chory and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb serving as executive producers as well. Roel Reiné directed the first two episodes. The upcoming series is a Marvel and IMAX project and is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.

It will be interesting to see how Inhumans will do compared to Marvel’s other show on ABC, Agents of SHIELD. Agents of SHIELD started off well but has dipped in the ratings over the last few seasons. Hopefully audiences will receive Marvel’s new show favorable if it is given multiple seasons. To find out tune in September 29 on ABC.
