Is Lady Gaga returning for American Horror Story season 7?
The folks over at SpoilerTV have uncovered a rather nice discovery courtesy of the AHS Leaks Twitter account, a page from an article in Vogue Magazine showing that Gaga is going to be returning in some capacity. Given the source here, it’s fair to treat this fairly seriously.
With that being said, Gaga returning for American Horror Story does not necessarily correlate to her having an enormous role in American Horror Story. It’s absolutely possible that she could turn up for an episode or two and that’s it. She appeared sporadically during American Horror Story: Roanoke last year, but was not featured anywhere near as prominently as when she was the Countess during Hotel the year before.
The size of her role in season 7, if it happens, could depend on a wide array of different factors. One of the biggest things to keep in mind is Gaga’s own schedule, which is always rather eventful. If she is going to be a part of it, odds are that she will have to film it right now given that she has a big tour coming up later this summer going into the fall. Depending on the Horror Story schedule (and the fact that she will have to rehearse for this said tour), it’s possible that she could have a smaller role with a few appearances here and there. Anything to keep her within the Ryan Murphy family is something worth celebrating.
One of the other things we do wonder is whether or not Gaga could eventually surface on one of his other shows, given that he also has Feud and American Crime Story also airing over on FX. Obviously, she’s probably not going to have time to do either one of these shows in the near future, but this is absolutely something to keep in mind.
New episodes of American Horror Story are going to be airing on FX starting most likely in either September or October. Given that this is a show that tends to keep things under wraps as long as humanly possible, there is no timetable as to when something official could be said.
Update: It now looks as though the appearance isn’t happening. Alas!
