Sizing up the field

Obviously, there is a concern that all of the PLL fans will just split all of their votes, and that could happen. This is actually the most divided fields because it really just comes down to who the fandom wants to see win this year. It should be noted that Ashley Benson won last year, whereas Lucy Hale won it the year before.

Who will win

This time around it’s probably Hale with the inside track because of the storyline with Dark Aria this season. She’s had a chance to take on some meaty material working alongside A.D. to try to get the upper hand on him, and this material was very much embraced by most of her fans. On paper, it feels like this should help bring her to a win.

Who should win

If we had our pick, Bellisario’s had the most emotional, nuanced work this season as Spencer navigated having a biological mother in Mary Drake she never knew about, and she’s balancing matters of her head and heart closely. It hasn’t always been flashy, but it’s certainly been heartbreaking and she deserves the honor before the series concludes
