Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore is married!
Days after reports started to flutter out there in internet land that Kenya Moore was secretly married (fueled in part by some of her own posts on social media), the news has finally been confirmed. According to a report from People Magazine, Kenya officially married her mystery fiancé in St. Lucia.
In a statement, she had the following to say about the decision:
“I’m just ecstatic … This man is the love of my life and I’m so happy to begin our lives together as husband and wife.”
The only thing that is known officially about Moore’s husband is that he is a prolific businessman (so if you were thinking that maybe she got back together with Matt, that’s a big no); eventually, we expect the couple to go a little more public with their relationship, but it’s understandable why she would want a little bit of privacy to enjoy her newly married status. She may also realize that being in front of all of America can be very intimidating (and after last season of Real Housewives of Atlanta we completely understand why!), so she may want to ease her husband into that world rather slowly. We have been following Kenya’s journey to find love ever since her first appearance on the show and after seeing how much heartbreak she endured with her relationship with Matt, we are so excited for her and can’t wait to meet him on the show (if he decides to appear on the show that is).
It will be interesting to see if Kenya chooses to film around her personal life for the upcoming Real Housewives of Atlanta, which is going to be premiering presumably a little bit later this year.
For the time being, we here at CarterMatt want to give our congratulations to the happy couple! Hopefully they are able to have a romantic, peaceful start to their marriage and enjoy a little alone time before Bravo has Kenya back to work.
