Is Grey’s Anatomy new tonight on ABC? Catch up before season 14
Unfortunately, there is no new episode coming on the network tonight, and nor will there be another episode of the show airing between now and the start of the fall. The season, alas, is over, and it’s left you on a rather big cliffhanger. Is Megan really back in Owen’s life? Given the Teddy connection, you want to think that the answer to this question is yes. Still, this is Shonda Rhimes and it feels like a mistake to ever leap to assumptions when there is a separate reality that could end up actually being the case.
Ultimately, the big thing to be hopeful about with season 14 is that no matter what the story is, it remains heartfelt and firmly in the vein of what is known and loved already about these characters. You don’t want to see anyone changed to the point where they are now shells of their former selves, adrift because of recent traumas burdening them. The departure of Stephanie Edwards (even if she is alive) will be hard to swallow, and the same goes for how Meredith may feel now that Riggs is running towards Megan. This is a show with a lot to unravel, but much of it likely will, and sooner rather than later, when the show does return to ABC.
The season 14 premiere will likely address many different questions, whether it be the status of Megan or what is going on now with Jo and Alex. They were one of the most beloved relationships on the show when they were together, but they’ve been a part now for a while and Alex has now seen Jo’s husband after making a deliberate attempt to seek him out. He didn’t say anything, and that is just another issue that she will need to be made aware of.
One other thing to expect in season 14? A new character or to. Would this show really work without such an introduction?
