Empire season 4 premiere date hopes for Terrence Howard, cast

Interested in knowing the Empire season 4 premiere date? The focus of this article is all about figuring that out based on past scheduling trends.

Obviously, it goes without saying at this point that Fox is bringing the show back. Even though the ratings fell pretty sharply off a cliff through much of season 3, it remains their top-rated drama series and is a huge part of their overall brand. Therefore, there’s no reason to delay it past the fall. They’ll air a big batch of their 18 episodes in the fall, take a big hiatus, and then return in mid-to-late March to kick off the second half of the season. The big hiatus in the middle of the season probably does shed some viewers, but it may be necessary to ensure that filming is over in time for the episodes to be edited and put on the air. (Remember that this is all tentative and could change.)

One other change entering season 3 is that for the first time, Empire is moving to 8:00 p.m. Eastern, something that Fox honestly should have done back in season 2 since they’ve repeatedly failed to take advantage of using this show in order to launch and cultivate other hits. Don’t you think that a show like Lethal Weapon, while still solid, would have been stronger premiering after the show this past fall. You have to think that it would be possible that Rosewood would be on the air still had it had this chance in the 2015-16 season.

At present, the earliest possible Empire season 3 premiere date is Wednesday, September 20 unless Fox does something completely crazy. It’s also possible that the show starts on September 27, but it’s hard to see the show starting any later than that because of the scheduling concerns Fox has later in the fall. With the World Series taking up a big part of the fall real estate, and some obvious concerns about airing an episode the week after Thanksgiving, Fox needs to give Empire time to get a good many episodes on the air this fall while dealing with some temporary breaks.
