Outlander season 3: Episode 13 verification; Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe fun

Episode 13

Just in case you needed some more confirmation that Outlander season 3 episode 13 — otherwise known as the finale — is in production, the proof can be found within this piece!

In a post on Twitter (see below) executive producer Matthew B. Roberts confirmed that work is underway on the last episode of the season in South Africa. It was already reported that the table read for the episode had transpired, which was largely all the proof many people needed out there to know that it was happening. Also, you get a beautiful photo with said proof from Roberts, so consider that a rather lovely compliment to the great news.

Filming for season 3 will keep on for a couple more weeks in this episode, and based on other recent scenes shot, it’s fair to expect more with Jamie and Claire in a certain tropical locale. Earlier on in the season, the two will begin an epic journey at sea from Scotland all the way to Jamaica. Readers of the book series know a thing or two more about where the journey goes from there.

This fall episode will more than likely air in the late fall, but it’s a tad early to confirm anything when the only thing Starz has handed down at the moment is a premiere date of September.

A little bit of fun – For those who just want to spend the weekend having a good laugh, Leanne Aguilera of Entertainment Tonight has you covered! In honor of World Whisky Day she did a video (and then saved it for some time) where stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe play a little game of “Never Have I Ever.” Over the course of this, let’s just say that you learn a few secrets from the two about running red lights, making calls to the wrong people, and a couple other odds and ends. It’s a few minutes featuring Sam and Cait that you didn’t have before this weekend; isn’t that worthy of a drink?

It’s always nice to see the cast in a little more of a relaxed environment, and with Comic-Con coming later this summer, they may be another opportunity to have this in a couple of months. Patience getting to that point is the real struggle.
