American Horror Story season 7: Popular alum Leslie Grossman to appear

Leslie Grossman

For American Horror Story season 7, Ryan Murphy is going with a Popular actress in Leslie Grossman for an important role.

In a post on his Instagram, the prolific showrunner confirmed the news, referring two her as “one of the funniest and most talented ladies” that he knows. It’s going to be fun to see more of Grossman, given that it feels like it’s been a while since we’ve seen her in a significant role worthy of some of her talents. Some of her other credits out there include the series What I Like About You as also 10 Things I Hate About You the series, a sign that Grossman may love shows that speak in the second-person. (Yep, that’s a joke folks!)

Unfortunately, there isn’t too much known about either Leslie’s role or the story of the seventh season altogether, save that it’s inspired presumably by the 2016 Presidential Election. Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson are returning, and there are some new actors signing up including Billy Eichner, which should very fun to see in this sort of role. New episodes are going to air starting later this fall on FX, and the hope is that Murphy finds a way to use as much restraint as he did during the much-improved American Horror Story: Roanoke. There were many familiar faces over the course of the season, but it felt like there was less shoving as many different actors as possible onto the screen at the same time. The episode count was smaller, and the story far more focused while still being interesting and inventive.

There will likely be some further castings announced in the coming weeks, though they will likely be mostly at Murphy’s own pace. There is no hurry given that there is, after all, such a tremendously long wait to go until the show does come on the air.
