Chicago Med season 2 finale spoilers: Will Robin survive latest incident?

Chicago Med season 2 finale

With the Chicago Med season 2 finale airing on NBC tonight, tensions are high and there’s a definite reason to be worried. This is a franchise that kills off characters, in addition to them pulling a Jeff Clarke and leaving at moment’s notice. Dr. Charles’ daughter Robin is in terrible condition, and she could die over the course of the finale. If not that, she may never be the same as her former self.

Rewind slightly to the end of last week’s episode. Connor Rhodes decided to bring her home, thinking that much of the treatment done was adequate enough and he could provide any further care necessary. He viewed the situation through rose-colored glasses, and her latest episode was the aftermath. She locked herself on the balcony in the midst of an episode, desperate to escape the rats running haywire in her mind. Connor tried to help her, but it was too little, too late.

The sneak peek below (via HollywoodLife) is the aftermath of it all. Connor brings Robin in to Chicago Med with the help of paramedics, and the reaction from Dr. Charles says it all. You can hear his anger through his words, and see Dr. Reese’s through her eyes. Both make it clear through different ways that they blame Connor for putting Robin in this position; it didn’t have to be this way had he listened previously and realized that he did the wrong thing bringing her home ahead of schedule. Now, she’s fighting both for her life and her sanity.

If Robin does make it through in a better place, there are other questions to be asked, including if Rhodes is the right person to even care for her. He needs to release power, realize that he is too close to the situation, and submit to Reese for treatment. The same goes for Dr. Charles, who already has struggled with letting go. Nobody close to her can help her see what is right.

Will there be other conflicts over the course of the finale? Signs suggest that a breaking point is night for the Will Halstead – Nina Shore relationship; watch for develops there given that it seems as though Patti Murin will depart the show for Frozen on Broadway at the end of the season.
