Poldark season 3: The work’s never over for Aidan Turner
The latest bit of proof of this very thing comes courtesy of the show’s official Twitter account, with a picture that shows none other than series star Aidan Turner doing a little bit of ADR work behind the scenes. For those unaware, what ADR work basically entails is either recording or rerecording dialogue in order to match up with the scenes in the episodes. This is a technique sometimes done for lines that are said offscreen, or lines that for one reason or another were not recorded clearly in the original take or changed after the fact. It’s a way to ensure TV perfection, and since there’s a much shorter turnaround time on this as opposed to filming, this work can be done in the weeks leading up to an episode airing.
In general, you should expect the next several weeks to be very busy for Turner as he gears up for the Poldark season 3 launch. There will likely be many press appearances in the future, and beyond that, you are likely going to see him also prepare for season 4 filming soon! Production on that batch of episodes will start later this summer in both Cornwall and beyond. These episodes, in turn, will air at some point in 2018. Being a powerful leading man is really a year-long job, even if production doesn’t last nearly that long.
When Poldark season 3 picks up, expect to see Ross in a position where he is continuing to try and rebuild his life after being unfaithful to Demelza. Unfortunately, there are still plenty of problems out there that could get in his way. For one, George Warleggan will continue to be George Warleggan. Meanwhile, we’ll also continue to see complications arise in terms of the Ross – Elizabeth relationship following her pregnancy reveal last time.
