Dancing with the Stars: Who went home — Nick Viall, David Ross, Nancy Kerrigan?
Tonight’s Dancing with the Stars results had the potential to be very interesting for two different reasons. It was a double elimination, and to go along with that, we also had the first results following the shocking exit of Heather Morris. There was potential for almost anything to happen over the course of the night.
With that said, we did personally feel like the results tonight should’ve been rather predictable, given that the worst dancers of the field for the past couple of weeks have been Bonner Bolton, Nick Viall, and David Ross. Of the three we think that David is the most entertaining of the three, but we’re not sure if people are voting based on humor or who they like the best from their other body of work. In the past, former Bachelor stars have made it much further on the show than you would think that they would, so that may be an edge to Nick.
We should note that Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy were immune thanks to the dance-off, not that we think that they were in huge danger in the first place.
The official results – The first couple declared safe on the evening was Simone Biles and Sasha Farber, and there is zero surprise there. The second couple was Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater. That was also predictable. Then … Bonner and Sharna? Consider this the big surprise of the group.
Nick and David were in the bottom with Nancy Kerrigan. Then, the hammer fell — Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev were sent home alongside Nick and Peta Murgatroyd. We don’t know why voters balked at advancing Nancy, but we assumed that she wasn’t making it to the finale. David is more entertaining, and we suppose tonight that mattered more.
As for losing Nick at this point, that seems fine. He was game for some silliness here and there this season, but he didn’t have the universal praise entering the competition of a Sean Lowe. He had a good run making it as far as he did this season.
