Billions season 2 episode 11 sneak peek: Chuck gets a tip on Axe

Billions season 2

The Billions season 2 episode 11 sneak peek that we’ve got for you HERE effectively focuses on one thing: Very little changes. No matter where Chuck Rhoades and Bobby Axelrod go on the series, the story seems to almost come back to Chuck trying to hunt Axe down.

In this video, you see a new tip on Axe brought to Chuck’s doorstep. Specifically, he gets some information about Bobby that suggests that there could be some criminality, and he instructs the team to look into what his role may have been. Axe is that guy who always seems to be a step ahead … and there’s typically a pretty good reason for that. He’s shady, and that’s putting it lightly. He’s been that way since the start, and he’ll probably be that way until the future.

Unfortunately, we don’t get the sentiment that Chuck is going to emerge this season as a winner. Given both his gumption this season and some of his own flaws coming to the surface, it feels like he’s being set up for a further fall. The central issue that the show could be running into further in season 3 is that these two guys are circling each other like sharks — every now and then they bite, but then fall back into circling one more time. This is a show in need of some sort of fundamental shakeup, and we don’t know in what form that takes. Maybe you establish some further reasons for the relationship between Chuck and Axe to change, or you bring in some diversions that cause the two to look intently at some other characters. We’ll have a chance to discuss this further moving into next week, mostly because then we’ll have a little bit of a better understanding as to where things are shaping up as we move into the final episode of 2017.
